Wondering how to set Apple Music sleep timers but didn’t notice this feature in the app? Learn how to get this feature on iPhone and iPad, and how to use this feature with Siri and apps like YouTube.

Even though this feature has been requested by users for years, Apple, oddly enough, has not built a sleep timer directly into its Apple Music app. However, there is a way to do it natively with iPhone and iPad, you just need to use the Clock app.

Interestingly, our sister site just discovered that the Android version of Apple Music added a built-in sleep timer in the latest beta, which is much better than the current iOS implementation.

While it will be ironic to see the Android version of Apple Music get this feature first, hopefully Apple Music on iOS gets a proper sleep timer soon. For now, here’s what to do…

How to Set Apple Music Sleep Timers

Open Apple Music on your iPhone or iPad and play something (you can also start from step 2 and turn on the music after the timer). Now open the Clock app and tap on the Timer tab in the bottom right corner. at the bottom and click “Stop Playback”. Click “Set” in the upper right corner, select the duration of the timer and click “Start”. Now your music will stop along with the timer.

This also works as a sleep timer for third party apps like YouTube 🤓.
