Striking Distance Studios and the developers of Krafton recently announced the release date for the survival horror game The Callisto Protocol. Behind the upcoming title is Glen Schofield, who was responsible for Dead Space. The horror game revolves around the fourth moon of Jupiter, Callisto, on which the player has to escape from a maximum security prison.
The upcoming horror game The Callisto Protocol has received a release date. The sci-fi survival horror game will be released on December 2nd, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The Callisto Protocol was developed by Striking Distance Studios and Krafton, led by Glen Schofield. This was already responsible for the horror game Dead Space.
Star-studded horror game
The Callisto Protocol takes place in the year 2320 on the fourth moon of Jupiter, Callisto, which houses the Black Iron Prison. The protagonists are Josh Duhamel as Jacob Lee, a cargo ship pilot, and Karen Fukuhara, known from the Amazon series The Boys, who plays a mysterious fellow prisoner. Players must break out of the maximum security prison and uncover the mysteries of the United Jupiter Company.

The developers call the design process of The Callisto Protocol “horror engineering”. Mixing elements of brutality, atmosphere, suspense, humanity and hopelessness, players will experience an unforgettable horror story. The Callisto Protocol is now available for pre-order in multiple editions.
