Since the beginning of June, BMW cars have seriously fallen in price in Russia. This was written in auto.mail.ru.
According to the source, from June 1, 2022, the Russian representative office of BMW suddenly reduced the price tags for its cars to the level of January-February of the current year. The rise in price happened in March after the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions and the actual closure of most routes for importing foreign goods to Russia.
A couple of days ago, BMW cars unexpectedly fell in price in branded sales outlets. Discounts are very significant: in some cases they reach 3.5 million rubles, while the minimum price reduction was 720 thousand rubles.
For example, the BMW X1 crossover again costs 3,280,000 rubles, having lost about 800 thousand in price. The electric BMW iX is sold from 9,580,000 rubles, which is 2,440,000 rubles cheaper than in March, April and May. The biggest discount fell on the BMW M8 Coupe, M8 Cabrio and M8 Gran Coupe models – they lost 3,450,000 rubles each.
Brand representation did nothing to explain such a drastic price cut. Logically, the company’s supply situation is still difficult – the previous transit supply lines have not yet been restored. Other companies and brands are in no hurry to reduce price tags, and AvtoVAZ was no exception – the rise in prices for domestic cars this spring has become the most serious in recent years.
