Hello Germany! While Apple has recently been improving Apple Maps in Germany, the new update now allows users to customize their experience a bit more. Apple Maps’ own rating system is now available to users in Germany. In addition, the tech giant has improved the app’s display and released more detailed street views.

Apple’s rating system is now integrated into Maps for viewing information about restaurants, museums and more. With this update, users can give thumbs up or thumbs down ratings and upload their own photos of their experiences in certain locations. This helps potential visitors to these places better understand if it’s worth their time.

The Apple Maps rating system has been available in the US and Canada since last year. The app still has the previous external rating system that users can use as well. In addition, Apple Maps integrates with travel planning and rating apps like Tripadvisor, Yelp, and Foursquare.

According to iphone-ticker.de:

Anyone who chooses to contribute to the new ratings database agrees to Apple’s Terms of Use for Ratings and Photos. At the end of these extensive guides, there is a list of keywords that Apple does not want to see in this context. In addition to content-related exclusion criteria, this also includes technical specifications, such as submitted photos must be good and large enough, and can only be in JPEG, PNG, or HEIC formats.

Any German users want to check it out? Do any of you use a rating system? Let us know your thoughts.
