The euro, which is weakening against the dollar, along with inflation, could ensure that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro become noticeably more expensive outside the USA.
While the euro has lost significantly in value against the US dollar in recent months and inflation is at its highest level in decades, the iPhone 14 and its offshoot models may become significantly more expensive in Europe, according to analyst Chris Caso Notebookcheck.com via ped30.com reported.
Since the beginning of 2022 alone, the euro has depreciated by more than 13 percent against the US dollar and has only known one direction since then, as the chart below reveals. With an expected inflation rate of 7.68 percent in the USA and Germany at 6.1 percent this year, as well as price increases that are rumored to be expected in the USA anyway, at least for the Pro model of the iPhone 14, significant price increases can be expected accordingly.

According to the report, the price increases could therefore be as follows:
- iPhone 14 for $799 (€904 incl. VAT) compared to iPhone 13 mini for 799 euros
- iPhone 14 Max for $899 (€1,017 incl. VAT) compared to iPhone 13 for 899 euros
- iPhone 14 Pro for $1,099 (€1,244 incl. VAT) compared to iPhone 13 Pro for 1,149 euros
- iPhone 14 Pro Max for $1,199 (€1,356 incl. VAT) compared to iPhone 13 Pro Max for 1,249 euros
However, as usual, concrete information on this can only be expected in September when the new models are presented, when Apple holds its annual keynote to present the new generation. In the meantime, there are already numerous rumors about the new iPhones in terms of equipment, appearance and Co., while the 3rd generation iPhone SE, which was only released in March of this year, is currently already cheaper.
