Members of a Jersey City public employees union have fought four years for double pay for working during a 2018 state of emergency, and per an April 1 court order, Jersey City was required to start paying that back pay by April 30. But April 30 came and went and Santo DellaMonica, president of Jersey City Public Employees Union Local 245, said the members haven’t received any money yet. “They’re disappointed,” DellaMonica said of the members who worked during the state of emergency.
