A man crossing Routes 1&9 at Sip Avenue in Jersey City Monday night was struck and killed, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said Tuesday. The name of victim is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin, Suarez said. According to New Jersey State Police statistics, the fatal crash is the seventh in Hudson County in 2022. The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is assisting the Jersey City Police Department with the investigation.
