There is an offshoot of ThisIsWin11 that only deals with the unnecessary features on Windows 11. Maybe not so uninteresting after a fresh installation of Windows 11.
LoveWindowsAgain (let’s see if the name stays the same) includes the ability to remove apps, install programs and tools via winget and an analysis incl. fix.
Below you will find the selection of tools to install the default programs or to uninstall the apps. The “thick” button in the window is for the analysis. Here the tool checks whether the widgets are disabled, the search and task view in the taskbar and some “privacy settings”. It’s all broken down.
But here you should click on the 3 dots in the top right after the analysis and click on “Advanced Mode”. Then you have the choice of which problems should really be fixed. The window will then show exactly what changes have been made. Some changes will be visible after a reboot. If you mess up, just click on Restore and everything will be restored the way it was. For example, if you also had the Windows Web Experience Pack uninstalled, the Store App opens and you can reinstall the WEP.
Let’s see what happens. In any case, it is practical. Thanks to Manu for the tip.
