IT House June 3 news, Microsoft has now announced that it has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25131 to the development channel, and all Windows Insider members can download the update.

IT Home understands that this version mainly includes some bug fixes. In addition, Microsoft released a new SDK for the new Dev Channel version, and an update to the Microsoft Store (22205.1401.3.0) was rolled out to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.

  • The new folder icon used in the command bar should be consistent with the context menu style.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause File Explorer to hang when browsing a folder containing a large number of .mkv files.

  • Fixed an issue that caused searches from the home page to sometimes not return any results from the Open or Save dialogs (when returning results from File Explorer).

  • Searching for something like %appdata% should now show a proper folder icon instead of just a blank block.

  • When you select “Open file location” in the search results, it should again select the files in the folder for you, not just open the folder.

  • Fixed an issue where the “Listen to this device” audio option would stop working after a reboot until it was unchecked and rechecked.

  • Narrator will now announce the location of radio buttons in the Settings > Accessibility > Color Filters page to make it easier to locate.

  • When you use Windows Focus on the lock screen, hovering over “Do you like what you see?” should no longer appear as a shadow extending to the bottom of the screen.

  • Fixed an issue that caused some framerate monitoring applications to affect game performance.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause rounded corners.

Note: Some of the fixes mentioned here in the Insider Preview builds of the Dev Channel may make their way into servicing updates for Windows 11 released builds.

Microsoft Store Update (Version 22205.1401.3.0)

We started rolling out Microsoft Store updates to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel with the following changes and improvements:

  • Native Arm64 Support: We’ve improved the Microsoft Store app experience on ARM64 devices. You will see faster and better performance when using the app.

  • Improved app updates: We’ve improved automatic app updates. We’ll skip over apps you’ve already opened so you don’t lose any important work. You can update the app later in the Microsoft Store.

  • Improved Android app support for the pop-up store experience: As you browse the web, you may discover a new app. If the Microsoft Store already supports a piece of content, we’ll show you a little popup to help you install it.

This update now supports free Android apps (depending on device compatibility and age rating).

In addition, the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) has also ushered in an update, with the version number rising to 2204.40000.19.0.
