Valve has postponed the release of its branded docking station for the Steam Deck console indefinitely due to a global shortage of components and a halt in production in China amid a new outbreak of coronavirus.
Valve told The Verge that the company is already seeing “improvement” and will share more information when it becomes available. In this regard, the company promised to release an update with support for third-party USB-C hubs for connecting to external monitors.
However, production issues will not affect the supply of the Steam Deck console itself.
