The latest update for the loot shooter Borderlands 3 finally introduces a crossplay feature. In addition, the variable refresh rate (VRR) is added to the PS5.
In April, Gearbox Software announced Crossplay support for the PS4 and PS5. The update is now in sight: Tonight from 9 p.m. the players can download it. Once installed, PlayStation players will be able to join the fight alongside Xbox and PC players.
PS5 players have another reason to be happy: the addition of VRR functionality, which synchronizes the resolution and frame rate. The result is nicer graphics and smoother performance. However, for this feature you need a TV or monitor with HDMI 2.1.

Borderlands 3 has been available for PS4, Xbox One and PC since September 13, 2019. A next-gen version came out in November 2020 to coincide with the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
This is about the fastest selling title in the history of 2K Games. As of November 2021, the loot shooter has sold 14 million copies. However, “Borderlands 3” does not come close to the success of its predecessor: With over 25 million sales, “Borderlands 2” from 2012 is by far the best.
