Available since yesterday, Rust’s monthly update improves in-game combat, especially firefights. For starters, the recoil system has been overhauled, to be more affordable for the majority of players. Firearm sound effects have been updated to provide better sound quality. The same applies to view models, which gives a marked improvement in dynamic animations.

Other interesting changes, a small splatter of blood will indicate the direction from which you took damage and a hitmarker will appear when you hit your target, accompanying the sound that was already present for this specific case. Additionally, a crosshair marking the center of your screen is added in-game.
In order for you to test these changes in good conditions, you can now craft a machine gun as well as an extended magazine that can be attached to several different weapons.

Also, scientists have been added to the main launch site building and a new armored wagon is available, following last month’s update. By the way, sidings are now available on which trains will spawn from now on, so that the main railway is free for traffic.
And finally, Hapis Island is making a comeback, in a reworked edition offering a bigger desert.

I invite you to visit Steam to discover all of this patch notes.
