Microsoft Flight Simulator is without a doubt one of the coolest games we’ve seen, but it also results in juicy system requirements that make it difficult for many machines to keep up, especially in big cities. But help is on the way in the form of support for both DLSS 2.0 and FSR 1.0 / 2.0 on PC.

DLSS 2.0 is Nvidia’s AI-based upscaling technology, and can easily be said to produce a high-resolution image that is almost as good as native resolution, but with significantly better performance. The crux is that this technology only works with RTX cards from Nvidia. AMD has a similar solution called FSR which does not use AI and which also works with all graphics cards.

In a question and answer session with Flight SimulatorThe developers say that support for DLSS 2.0 and FSR 1.0 should be released in update 10 of the game, which comes in July. At present, they have some problems with DLSS with connection to animated textures and water surfaces, but it is being fixed. They are also working on implementing FSR 2.0, but support for it will probably take a little longer.
