A wireless powerbank, it may sound like a gimmick. But it does not have to be that way. Anchor Powercore III Sense looks like any powerbank. A rectangular story made of plastic, which is equipped with a cloth-covered upper part where a logo reveals that it does wireless charging.

With its appearance, it fits perfectly next to your space-gray Macbook Air, where it works like any qi charger, but which you can also throw into your back when you are on the go. We would have liked to have seen a few thousand milliamps more, but you can not get everything. Apparently.

The battery in the Powercore III Sense is 10,000 mAh, which is a bit small, considering that the battery size of today’s phones often has around 5-6,000 mAh. But as a companion on a trip where the means of transport does not have the opportunity to charge your phone, it works really well, even for a shorter camping trip. Four LEDs in each case indicate how much power is left.
Nice and qi charge
Anker Powercore III Sense is equipped with a usb-a and a usb-c connector. You upload it via usb-c. What makes it perfect for Iphone users (of course, it also works for other types of phones), in addition to matching your Macbook Air, is that it supports throughput charging wirelessly. While you are charging your Powercore III, you can place your Airpods on the built-in qi tablet while you plug in your phone via USB and charge it. Which means you have a powerbank and a qi charger for your desktop in one package.
The stated total power is up to 18 watts divided into three, but if you charge wirelessly, you have to settle for much less than that. Although it does not matter if it is a pair of Airpods that need to be charged.
We like that it has wireless charging, if only because it can easily double as a qi charger that you can place in a suitable place in the home. Sure, there are cheaper qi chargers, but they are not portable. And sure, there are powerbanks that have more than twice as many milliamps, but they are not wireless.
It is possible to rabble pros and cons forever. Long story short: we like Anker Powercore III Sense. And you get a small bag to put it in as well as a usb-c cable.
