Make the game both easier and harder.
Kung fu game Sifu received a perfectly okay reception when it was released at the beginning of the year and sold over a million copies during its first month. Statistics in connection with this, however, showed that only 45% of the players passed the second course, and there have been some voices that the game is a bit challenging and unforgiving.
Developer Sloclap initially said they did not want to include easier difficulty levels, but then changed their minds and said the game would be more accessible. And now it’s finally time, because with the update that will be released tomorrow, you will be able to choose between three levels of difficulty: Student, Disciple and Master, where Disciple is the original level of difficulty of the original game.
Nor is it about degrees of difficulty that change how much damage you take and do. With the lighter variant, you certainly get more life, but you also age more slowly, while the enemies are less aggressive and use simpler combos.
If you turn up the game to Master, your character in turn becomes “more vulnerable”, while the enemies become more persistent and use more complex battle patterns, which also includes the bosses.
