Announced at the last Game Awards, Sonic Frontiers today shows us seven minutes of gameplay (thank you IGN)! Umpteenth attempt to find his aura of yesteryear, or sword stroke in the water, the video below tries to provide us with some answers. Because yes, after half-hearted episodes, even downright bad, the perfect recipe has yet to be found. By this I mean a title capable of satisfying those nostalgic for the blue hedgehog as well as new players eager for thrills.
Developed by Sonic Team, Borders will be the first installment to introduce us to a true open world. We will be led to visit Starfall Island, a gigantic place covered with forests, mountains and deserts. Our favorite hedgehog will still offer its historical attributes, but other new ones will be added. It’s hard to say more for the moment, both in terms of the scenario and the lifespan, but the first images seem quite promising… Scheduled for 2022 with action, humor and a universe with multiple possibilities, the great Sonic may be back!
