Google has released an app Google TV for iOS, which replaces Google Play Movies. It has a virtual remote control for set-top boxes on Android TV and Google TV.
Also, the new application allows you to make lists of movies and TV shows, and also shows recommendations. Purchasing content on iOS is not available.
