Recently, Ericsson’s official website announced its latest data: As of now, Ericsson has won 172 5G commercial contracts worldwide, of which Ericsson has reached 5G commercial contracts with 89 operators that allow publicity. 121 operating 5G commercial networks provide device support.

It is understood that at the end of 2021, Ericsson had a total of 122 5G commercial contracts. It has only been nearly half a year, and the number of contracts has grown to 172. The growth rate is indeed not slow.

In the previous announcement of the 2021 financial report, Ericsson President and CEO Ekang Bao said that in 2021 Ericsson strengthened its industry-leading product portfolio, including ultra-light, energy-efficient Massive MIMO for improved network performance and new 5G mid-band Cloud RAN portfolio.

With the continuous development of 5G network construction, the battle for 5G commercial orders between the three giants Huawei, Ericsson and Nokia has intensified. However, objectively speaking, Ericsson’s rapid offensive on 5G commercial contracts has something to do with Huawei’s boycott in some European and American countries.
