The developer exelix11 offers a new version of SysDVR in version 5.3, under this name hides a tool which was regularly updated in 2019 and 2020 but which during the year 2021 was abandoned by its author. We are therefore delighted to see it brought up to date again, since it has already been twice this year.
As you know you must have .NET6 to benefit from SysDVR, and now ARM Apple processors are supported. The USB protocol has been improved and stuttering should be fixed. DVR patches can also be used to remove the restriction on video recording in games. Even if SysDVR is not used, the DVR patches are interesting: some games prevent screenshots or embed copyright text – these functions are disabled with the patches!
Changelog 5.3:
– SysDVR-Client is now built with .NET 6, if you are still using .NET 5 you need to update.
— Remember to choose the x64 version if your Windows installation is 64-bit, otherwise it won’t work.
— If after installing it, SysDVR can’t find it, manually fix your PATH environment variable
– Arm “apple silicon” macs are now supported and should work as expected #166
— If you used SysDVR on Rosetta before, you need to install .NET native arm and native arm dependencies with brew, see guide for more info.
– USB protocol improved, stuttering should be gone now.
— This means the latest client is not compatible with older versions of sysdvr and vice versa, make sure to update the sysmodule on your console and reboot afterwards.
– Improvements to the video decoding process, the client should now use less CPU.
– It is now possible to set the title of the video player with the command line option –title #170
– Other minor improvements
