WWDC 2022, Apple’s annual developer conference, kicks off next week with an opening keynote where the company will announce new releases for iOS, macOS, and other operating systems. After the keynote, Apple will host the 2022 Apple Design Awards to honor apps for the best design of the year, and now we know which apps are the finalists.

Apple Design Awards is another traditional Apple event that takes place every year during WWDC. The company selects apps for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS that stand out in the App Store for their innovation or high social impact.

Less than a week before the event, Apple announced which apps were the finalists that will compete for the award in the following categories: Inclusiveness, Fun & Entertainment, Interaction, Social Impact, Visuals & Graphics, and ” Innovations”.

The Apple Design Awards recognize apps and games that excel in the Inclusive, Fun & Entertainment, Interaction, Community Impact, Visuals & Graphics, and Innovation categories. Check out this year’s finalists, then tune in to watch the WWDC22 event.

WWDC 2022 schedule

The opening of WWDC 2022 will take place on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 AM PT. Apple will then host the State of the Union Platforms competition at 1:00 pm PT, followed by the Apple Design Awards at 5:00 pm PT.

As such, Digital Lounge registration is now open to eligible developers, allowing them to connect with Apple experts and the developer community to answer questions about WWDC announcements.
