Honor smartphones after being separated from Huawei are attracting more and more interest. At first it was just interesting how the management of the new independent company would behave. Then came the intrigue about Google services. When this was sorted out, it became interesting whether the company could release a normal phone. And when everything worked out here, I wanted to study more and more new models. And now there is another novelty that offers top-end features and is not as expensive as competitors. At the same time, everything is almost without tricks. Nearly…
Features of Honor 70 Pro and Pro+
Honor today announced a trio of new phones: the 70, 70 Pro, and 70 Pro+. Let’s start with the latest model, the most premium (in other words) of the three. The Honor 70 Pro+ is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor built by TSMC using a 4nm process. Both the 70 Pro+ and 70 Pro feature 6.78-inch OLED displays with a “symmetrical quad design”. The Honor 70 Pro is equipped with a 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8000, a very powerful chip, but still not the same as the Dimensity 9000. The 70 Pro + received 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory.
How Honor 70 differs from 70 Pro
Honor 70 predictably took the lowest place in the hierarchy of the line. It runs on the Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G mobile platform. The screen size of the device is 6.67 inches. Interestingly, all three models use 54MP Sony IMX800 sensor and 50MP ultra wide (macro sensor). The Pro and Pro+ models feature an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom (up to 30x digital zoom) and OIS. The punch-hole front camera on Pro devices has a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide 100° field of view.
Shooting video from two sides
The whole Honor 70 series can simultaneously record video from both sides (on the front camera and the main camera). This has become a trend for the company, because both it and Huawei are actively promoting this feature. Both Pro models will charge your batteries with 100W power. Thus, in just 15 minutes, the 4500 mAh battery used in the 70 Pro and 70 Pro + will be charged up to 60% capacity. After another 15 minutes, the charge will reach 100%.
How much are the new Honor
As for prices, everything is not so clear. For Honor 70 Pro+ they are as follows:
- Honor 70 Pro + 8/256 GB – 4,299 yuan (approximately 41,000 rubles at the exchange rate)
- Honor 70 Pro + 12/256 GB – 4,599 yuan (approximately 44,000 rubles at the exchange rate)
The device is available for pre-order today, but for now, delivery is limited to China. That is, it is unlikely that you will be able to buy this phone in Russia, but if you live in the Middle Kingdom, then shipments are for you will start June 16.
Honor 70 Pro will be available in the following versions:
- Honor 70 Pro 8/256 GB – 3,699 yuan
- Honor 70 Pro 12/256 GB – 3,999 yuan
- Honor 70 Pro 12/512 GB – 4,399 yuan (approximately 42,000 rubles at the exchange rate)
Shipments also in China will only start on June 7th. There is no talk of international sales yet.
The Honor 70 series will be available in Midnight Black, Crystal Silver, Emerald Green, Frosted Gold, and Icelandic Frost. Keep in mind that the only difference between Honor 70 Pro and 70 Pro+ is a chipset with 5nm Dimensity 8000 process technology in the first and 4nm Dimensity 9000 process technology in the second. The lower the process value, the denser the transistors. This means they work more efficiently. Therefore, the Dimensity 9000 is more powerful and energy efficient than the Dimensity 8000.
The HONOR 70 series delivers a significant leap in image and video processing performance and is ideal for the younger generation who are looking for innovative technology and creative content creation solutions – George Zhao said (George Zhao), CEO of HONOR Device Co, Ltd.
As you can see, it’s too early to rejoice, because you won’t be able to buy this phone yet, especially for such money. But if you don’t want to miss the opportunity to buy it, subscribe to cool gadget channel from AliExpress or to our news Telegram channel.
