BMW now presents the M Hybrid V8 which is a car they will compete in the class LMDh with. Next year it will make its debut in Rolex 24 at Daytona in January and then it will have a slightly different look than what we see here. Now it is wearing a kind of camo pattern that will hide its aerodynamic properties. This will stay on throughout the test phase until it’s time for the race. The decor has elements from BMW’s 50-year history with M.
The car was developed together with Dallara and under the hood there is a turbocharged V8 and an advanced hybrid system, but what it’s about stuff you do not go into right now.

Lamborghini will start competing in LMDh 2024
Teasar hybrid racer
Lamborghini Squadra Corse now announces that they are developing a hybrid-driven race car for the competition class LMDh. In 2024, they will start driving and this teaser is the first we get to see of the car, which in terms of appearance is very reminiscent of Sián FKP 37 and Essenza SCV12. Vdn Stephan Winkelmann says the following: “This step up into the highest echelon of sports car racing marks an important milestone for our company. We will be measuring ourselves against the very best, on the most demanding proving grounds. On one hand, this will give our successful motorsports program even more visibility, but it will also allow us to test future technologies: our LMDh prototypes will become our most sophisticated open laboratory on four wheels. ”
