As one of only a few dozen Apple-1 computers left, the device is said to have “almost all cycle correct components” with appropriate “Apple-1 NTI board build, parts, and production dates”, except for some multi-channel Multiplexer IC.
The Schlumberger 2 Apple-1 was the second batch of Apple-1 computers, originally purchased in 1977 by an executive from the oil services company Schlumberger Overseas. The Apple-1 is believed to be one of the last Apple-1 computers assembled in the United States. The location was the Jobs family garage in late 1976 or early 1977.
Jimmy Grewal of the AAPL Collection owns the Apple-1 computer, which is expected to sell for $485,000 due to its condition and original components. The Schlumberger 2 Apple-1 has been signed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and the auction will run until June 12.
The Apple-1 was the first Apple product created by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak when Apple Computer was founded, and only 200 were initially produced.
The first Apple-1s were auctioned in May for more than $460,000, and as early as November 2021, an Apple-1 in a mahogany casing fetched $500,000 (about 3.335 million yuan) sold. Other Apple-1 computers sold for more than $815,000 (approximately 5.4361 million yuan), with rare organic devices fetching even higher prices.
