As recently indicated, Ubisoft has now given the 60FPS update of the action role-playing game “Assassin’s Creed Origins” a final release date. According to the publisher, it starts this week.

Updated June 2, 2022: The 60FPS patch is now available for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S and allows you to play “Assassin’s Creed Origins” via the backward compatibility of the current-gen consoles in 60 frames per second. However, you should not expect a higher resolution in the course of the update.

As on PS4 Pro, Assassin’s Creed Origins is rendered at native 1440p resolution on PS5, while Xbox Series X/S uses the dynamic resolution of the Xbox One X version, which oscillates between 1700p and 1800p.

Original message: After “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey” was already updated in the summer of last year, which gave the title support of 60FPS when playing via the backwards compatibility of the new consoles, Ubisoft indicated in a recent tweet that “Assassin’s Creed Origins ‘ will soon receive a corresponding patch.

In a brief message to the community, the company has now let the proverbial cat out of the bag and announced that the 60FPS update to Assassin’s Creed Origins will be released this week. To be more precise, tomorrow, Thursday, June 2, 2022.

After downloading and installing the update, you will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Origins with 60 frames per second support on the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X/S.

The eternal struggle between Templars and Assassins

In “Assassin’s Creed Origins” you take control of the protagonist Bayek, who in ancient Egypt was actually just trying to protect his wife and his compatriots from various dangers. One fateful day, however, he becomes embroiled in the ongoing and deadly conflict between the Templars on the one hand and the Assassins on the other. The story of “Assassin’s Creed Origins” acts as a prequel to the events of the main series.
