This month, the Western version of Lost Ark will welcome its second Legion Raid, Vykas, and a new Guardian Raid. Next month, the Arcanist, an advanced mage class, will make its debut in the MMORPG.
As part of its commitments to greater transparency with players, the operations teams ofAmazon Games regularly specify the roadmap for Lost Ark In Occident. In a note published on the official site, the operator outlines its plans for June and July.
Quite conventionally, Western players of Lost Ark will first be able to venture into new instances. Last month, the studio opened the doors to a first legion raid (Valtan), the toughest instances in the MMORPG. During this month of June, we will discover a second: the legion raid pitting players against commander Vykas of the Legion of Avarice. Initially, the raid will be available in “Normal” (item level 1430) and “Hard” (1460) modes and in July, in “Hellish” mode (requiring an item level of at least 1445 and especially a good coordination between the players). If we overcome it, the raid will notably make it possible to obtain materials used in the manufacture of Relic equipment.
Meanwhile, the June update will also unlock Guardian Raid “Kungelanium”, also aimed at high-level players but doable in groups or solo. And add to it the path to powera new solo dungeon made up of 50 floors that will have to be completed one after the other within a given time to be able to move on to the next.
Beyond instances, the July update will also unlock the Arcanist, new advanced class of the Mage (it was expected by many players). The gameplay of the Arcanist is based on the manipulation of cards imbued with magic, sometimes used to cut his enemies, sometimes to launch magical attacks, while developing synergies between the cards.
We especially remember the policy of Amazon Games in terms of the deployment of new playable classes. As we know, the original South Korean version of Lost Ark has several updates ahead of the Western version: to catch up, Amazon Games plans to add a new class every two months or so. The order and pace of deployment will depend in particular on the content of successive updates (especially instances), so that players have access to the mechanics necessary to overcome raids and dungeons: the addition of the Destroyer was thus concomitant at the opening of the Valtan raid, that of the Arcanist is linked to the Infernal mode of the Vykas raid. Future classes will follow the same pattern.
For the curious, details of Amazon Games’ roadmap and projects are available at the official website of the MMORPG.
