The starting signal for the long-awaited series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power falls on September 2, 2022. Luckily there is now new footage, which sells you the rest of the waiting time. It not only shows some of the characters, but also for the first time one of the beasts. The most recent edition of Empire Magazine appears with four exclusive cover variants, all featuring different characters from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series. Particular attention is paid to the cover, which is reserved exclusively for subscribers and by the concept artist John Howe originates.
What can you see in the pictures?
This fourth cover features the artwork of a snow troll, who will appear in one of the episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It is only a drawing and not that final CGI variant.
But at least the fans get a little foretaste of this way the beasts of the series.
By the way, the other cover variants are no less worth seeing. One features actress Morfydd Clark in her role as a young elf Galadriel. The second cover picture shows the two dwarves Prince Durin IV and Princess Disa, who reign as rulers over Khazad-dûm. The characters present themselves on the third cover Poppy Proudfellow, Sadoc Burrows and Elanor Brandyfoot the honor.

The first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power includes all of eight episodes. The project is already considered the most expensive series of all time. Filming was interrupted several times due to the corona pandemic and therefore took much longer than originally planned. The first trailer for the series has drawn criticism from some fans.
