The Netflix series Castlevania is full of heroes, villains and monsters with cool designs. Some things go under there. But that’s not the case with this villain: her imposing armor inspires cosplayers to excel.

Video game anime series are THE big thing these days, especially on Netflix. Hits include DOTA: Dragon’s Blood and of course the LoL series Arcane, but before those, Castlevania showed how cool the anime medium is for that. Thrilling duels, great designs and wild acrobatics – what more could you ask for? While there are many brilliantly animated scenes with cool fighters in Castlevania, one fight has burned itself into the memory of many viewers: Striga in her day armorwhich faces an angry mob of humans (Warning, a lot of bloody violence in this clip!):

The curious thing is that Striga is not a key character in the Castlevania series, and there is no major confrontation with the protagonists Trevor, Alucard and Sypha. Nevertheless, the powerful vampire has earned a place in the hearts of many fans with this great animated fight scene – although she is still and easily recognizable as one of the bad guys. But bad guys like to be the coolest. Karver Cosplay thought so too. The American hobbyist duo Mikey & Shelley brought the “Day Armor” from the screen to reality from EVA foam:
