The Harley-Davidson Serial 1 brand has introduced a new electric bike model. It was named Bash/Mtn.
The Bash/Mtn is positioned as a mountain bike, although it is devoid of shock absorbers, that is, it is a rigid bike with a rigid fork and no rear suspension. The developers claim that this is not a problem, since bumps in the road are damped by the SR Suntour NCX seatpost, which has an integrated air shock absorber with 50 mm of travel. The absence of shock absorbers on the fork and frame should increase rolling, in addition, the cyclist does not need to adjust and maintain the suspension.
The bike has an aluminum frame that integrates a battery and electronics, hydraulic disc brakes and aggressive off-road Michelin tires.
The Bash/Mtn model will sell for $3,999. The electric bike will be released in a limited edition – only 1050 copies. It will be sold in the US and Europe.
