German Cup winners RB Leipzig will be without Marcel Halstenberg for the first two games of their title defence next season after he was banned by the federation (DFB) for his red card in the cup final win over Freiburg. The DFB said Monday that the 30-year-old defender Halstenberg had been given a two-match suspension for his professional foul in the 57th minute of Saturday’s showpiece in Berlin.
