Feature phone shipments in Russia increased by 43% in the first quarter of 2022, reports RBC with reference to data GS Group.
Analysts estimate that in the first three months of 2022, 3.5 million push-button phones were imported to Russia. Deliveries of smartphones were reduced by 14% to 6.8 million pieces.
The main imports of push-button phones were provided by three brands: Inoi, F+ and BQ. They collectively accounted for 1.9 million devices.
An F+ spokesperson said that due to significant delays in deliveries last year, this time they placed a larger order in order not to face a shortage of goods and be able to ship the required number of devices to customers.
Despite the growth in supplies, the demand for push-button phones is falling. According to M.Video-Eldorado, 1.3 million such devices were sold in the first quarter of this year, which is 11% less than a year ago. [РБК]
