Carina Vogt of Germany, the first Olympic champion in women’s ski jumping, said on Friday she is ending her career in the wake of several injuries. Vogt, 30, won the inaugural women’s jumping at the Games 2014 in Sochi plus five world titles, two in individual events 2015 and 2017 and the other three in team and mixed team competitions. “I lived this sport but then realised it doesn’t work out any more.
