DICE announces a window of when the first season in Battlefield 2042 will start.

Battlefield 2042 had a very rough start and currently few active players. As already reported in an earlier article, the developers of DICE don’t want to drop the game, they want to continue to improve Battlefield 2042 and work on the balancing.

Originally, the first season was supposed to start at the beginning of the year, but due to many problems, they had to postpone the release and first improve the core of the game.

In their blog post they now reveal when they want to publish the first season:

“Next on our update schedule is the release of Season 1, which is currently scheduled for early June.”

The developers plan to announce further details shortly before publication. The post also details the changes introduced with Update 4.1. These include the removal of Breakthrough mode, which was designed for 128 players, and other balancing updates. You can find the full patch notes here here.
