Unveiled at the last Game Awards, Alan Wake II is still in an early stage of development at the moment, and while fans are happy to know it exists, it will take patience to hear more about this long-awaited sequel. But Remedy still gave a little grain to grind with concept-arts which were revealed during an anniversary video around the license, where we see the team sharing the state of the progress of the development .
Remedy focuses on the development
First of all, Sam Lakecreative director on the game, would like to reassure us, the development ofAlan Wake II going perfectly well. He then reveals that production has started well, and that a good part of the game is already playable for the moment.
However, the studio had promised that the game would give its news during the summer (we were expecting it at the Summer Game Fest then), but that won’t be the case. Remedy and Epic Games have preferred to postpone this speech to focus on the development of the game, because creating a demo or a trailer requires a lot of resources and effort.
To make up for it, the team unveiled new concept-arts for the game, which are very dark, and which show Remedy’s desire to produce its first survival-horror type game.
Alan Wake II is still expected on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series for 2023.
