By David Wetzel New York (Knewz) — Drug overdose deaths in the United States set a record high in the past year, according to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The data show that there were more than 100,000 drug overdose deaths between January 2021 and January 2022. The numbers began rising significantly in January 2020 and have continued to go up during the COVID-19 pandemic.
