The new Microsoft Flight Simulator free DLC will arrive at the same time as the cult film from which it is inspired.
Announced last June, an extension Top Gun inspired by the iconic film of the 80s will soon make its arrival on the ultra realistic flight simulator from Microsoft. With the release of Top Gun Mavericka new film following the original no less than 36 years after its release, Microsoft’s game is about to receive content straight from the arsenal of the American army that can be seen in the films .
Originally scheduled to be released at the same time as the new film, this extension was finally pushed back at the same time as this one which was originally scheduled to be released in November 2021. Ultimately, Top Gun Maverick will arrive in dark rooms May 25.
The DLC had still not been reconfirmed, but it is now done, and it will keep the same publication format as before, that is to say a simultaneous release with that of the film (or two days in advance in countries where films are released in cinemas on Fridays). May 25, 2022 will then be a 100% Top Gun day for aviation enthusiasts, since you will be able to go to the theater to watch the film, then continue with your own aerial acrobatics via Microsoft’s flight simulator. .
No information on the exact content of this free update has yet been revealed, but a short extract of what will be waiting for players very soon was revealed during the Xbox Showcase at E3 2021:
Other major Microsoft Flight Simulator updates are coming very soon, improving the world map, as the studio recently did for Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra. Helicopters will also soon be landing in the flight simulator to offer an ever more varied and realistic experience. As a reminder, Microsoft Flight Simulator is already available on PC and Xbox Series.
