Base told about an unusual case of fraud. The scammers swindled Muscovite Elena for two million rubles, got a taste of it and wanted to lure out another half a million, but she suspected something was wrong and stopped supplying them with money.

It all started with a call from a fake prosecutor’s office. Elena was warned about dubious transactions with her bank account and asked to withdraw money and put it in a safe deposit box at the specified number. Then she was strongly recommended to refinance, for which she accumulated debts in banks and transferred money to strangers.

The third episode involved a fake FSB officer who wrote to the girl in a telegram from the fsb.ru account and said that he would solve her problems if she helped find people “sympathetic to Ukraine.” To do this, Elena had to record a video in which she condemns the “special operation”. She sent several of these videos, after which the false FSB officer abruptly changed tactics. He confessed that it was all a scam, and her money would allegedly go to the restoration of Ukraine. After that, he asked to transfer another 500 thousand rubles, otherwise he would transfer the videos to real FSB officers. It did not work, the girl broke off communication and went to the police with a statement about fraud.
