Sources of the Kommersant newspaper said that Sber is considering the possibility of curtailing developments in the field of game development. The problem is that the SberGames project was originally focused on creating mobile games, which are now not possible to distribute through the Google Play and App Store marketplaces.
It is noted that about 200 specialists work in the gaming division, and all of them are currently looking for a new job. Experts note that Sber may try to divide SberGames into two brands, one of which will be focused on the Russian market, and the other on the international one. VK did the same by launching its own VK Play service, which will work in parallel with MY.Games.
