Germany defender Matthias Ginter will return to his home club Freiburg next season on a free transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach, the Bundesliga club said Wednesday. The 28-year-old Ginter’s will cover the loss of his international team-mate Nico Schlotterbeck at the Europe-bound club, who on Monday announced a move to Borussia Dortmund. Freiburg, as per club policy, did not give details of Ginter’s contract.
