It looks like the PS5 will be available to order again from Amazon tomorrow. The Prime indicator, which has been very reliable over the past few months, is visible again.
May 4, 2022 update: As mentioned yesterday, the bundle with “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” is actually no longer for sale. Amazon has reacted in the past few hours and probably finally removed the Prime notice.
A question mark still lingers over the Digital Edition of the PS5, where the Prime notice is still visible. While a sale isn’t expected to happen today, it’s at least a small straw.
Update from May 3, 2022: There are increasing reports that Amazon was able to organize supplies again. The famous Prime notice, which mostly indicates an upcoming sale for Prime members, is visible on both the Digital Edition and the bundle with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
But beware: The bundle has actually not been available for a long time. The note on the Digital Edition also seems to have been displayed since the last sale. Still, at least it shouldn’t hurt to take a look at Amazon tomorrow.
Below are the product entries:

Buy PS5 from Amazon:
Update April 30, 2022: If yesterday’s Prime notice actually heralds a new sale, then you could find what you are looking for from the shipping giant from 9 a.m. today. There are said to be 10,000 to 20,000 consoles in storage.
Buy PS5 from Amazon:
Update from March 29, 2022: It’s been a long time since a PS5 could be ordered from Amazon. But that could change tomorrow. The Prime note appeared again in the product catalog of the shipping giant, which usually indicates an upcoming sale. If Amazon doesn’t mislead us again this time, the new sales start should take place tomorrow morning.
But as the example from last January showed, you shouldn’t necessarily bet your money on it.
February 1, 2022 update: The reference to the Prime sale has now disappeared again, which could indicate that if it were mentioned again, a PS5 sale could be pending again. There is no statement from Amazon on this subject.
Update from January 21, 2022: It seems the Prime hint is no longer hinting at an imminent sale or Amazon starting to regularly sell smaller quantities of the PS5. The product catalog still states: “Prime members have priority access to the PlayStation 5.” For the past few months, it has been a reliable indicator of a renewed bulk sale and it was removed immediately after the promotion.
Buy PS5 from Amazon:
Update from January 20, 2022: Not much happened at Amazon yesterday, which leads to the assumption that the big sales campaign was only planned for this Thursday. Today you could find it on Amazon. The Prime notice will continue to appear.
Notification from January 19, 2022: Since Christmas, Amazon seems to have become more active again in terms of selling the PS5. After numerous consoles were sold shortly before the turn of the year, the next sale is imminent today. Once again, the Prime note indicates the start of the campaign.

More product entries for the PS5 in the overview:
When the situation on the console market will relax is still open. Due to the lack of semiconductors, Sony cannot keep up with the production of the PS5. The demand is still unchecked and so is the planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft shouldn’t change much about it.
However, the billions invested by the Redmond company could ensure that more players (additionally) buy an Xbox. And in the new generation there are two options: the Xbox Series X, which is also affected by the delivery problems, and the slimmed-down Xbox Series S, which already seems to be a kind of slow seller. At Amazon you can get them for a bargain price a year after the market launch.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S were launched in November 2020. While Sony regularly publishes new sales figures, Microsoft sticks to the strategy of keeping them to itself. Apparently, the Xbox Game Pass is increasingly becoming the focus of the Redmond company’s business activities. It now has 25 million members. However, it is unclear how many of them subscribe to the full-price pass.
