IT House news on May 4, the latest data from Canalys shows that in the first quarter of 2022,Worldwide spending on cloud infrastructure services increased 34% year over year to $55.9 billionan increase of $2 billion from the previous quarter and an increase of $14 billion from the first quarter of 2021.

IT Home understands that Canalys said that the three major cloud service providers, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud (Google Cloud), benefited from the increase in cloud computing adoption and the expansion of the scale of use,Total spending accounted for 62% of global consumer spending, up 42% year over year.

The report pointed out that in the first quarter of 2022, Amazon AWS won the cloud service provider champion,33% of total spending, up 37% year over year. Amazon has launched local regional services in 16 cities in the United States, and announced plans to launch the service in 32 cities in 26 countries in the future.

The second-ranked cloud service provider this quarter was Microsoft Azure,A year-on-year increase of 46%, with a market share of 21%. This growth was driven by a surge in high-volume, long-term cloud service contracts. Compared to the first quarter of last year, Microsoft Azure doubled the number of orders over $100 million.

Also, the fastest growing of the top three is Google Cloud,A year-on-year increase of 54%, with a market share of 8%.
