Unturned has been around for a few years, but is currently able to inspire players again. The free-to-play game is currently in the top 20 most played games on Steam. Graphically, Unturned doesn’t really have much to offer. However, players are celebrating the zombie survival title’s multiplayer component.
Unturned has already come a long way. The game was created by Nelson Sexton, an indie developer from Canada who was only 16 when Unturned was first released. In 2017, Unturned was released in Early Access on Steam. In the same year, the game was ranked number 1 in a list of most owners. Now the zombie survival game is back at the top of the favor of the users.
Unturned is still popular with players five years after its release
In the last 24 hours, almost 47,500 concurrent players found themselves on the Unturned servers. The zombie game celebrated its last big peak a good five months ago with 71,200 simultaneous players. Even at this time, there are again over 38,000 simultaneous players in the block title (as of May 3, 1:40 p.m.).
According to the SteamDB website the player count of Unturned is steadily increasing. The game is updated at regular intervals and a new patch is provided at least twice a month.
The reviews on Steam rate Unturned as “very positive” with a total of 91 percent positive ratings. The players compare Unturned with DayZ, which boasts unusual graphics. For many players, the interaction with the other users is in the foreground. According to the ratings, the many items and the large maps are also a lot of fun. However, other users complain that Unturned’s community can also be quite toxic.
