A short video from Horizon Forbidden West was shared with the community on Reddit, showing Aloy on the absolutely perfect vantage point. What makes this one so special? From there you can see almost the entire open world of the game – and it’s big. Be careful if you haven’t finished the game yet: Minor spoilers may follow.
On the Horizon Forbidden West map are yes 6 long necks in total, huge machine beings, some of which tower over trees and mountain peaks and each overlook an area on the map. You must find and climb them to uncover areas of the map.
From the vantage point that Redditor onlylaiden presents in a video on Reddit, you can already see a full 4 out of 5 of the shot up mechas that Aloy is targeting with her bow in the clip so you can see them better. This means that you can see almost the entire world of the game from this point.
As onlyraiden describes, this place is right on the mountain top near the base and is actually miles away from all the long necks that you first have to travel to with Aloy. This shows once again how powerful these machine monsters are. Unfortunately, the Redditor does not show the exact point of the summit on the map, but you might have fun looking for it yourself.

The scenic, sweeping view from a snow-capped peak with snowflakes blowing around Aloy’s head is pretty impressive – but in her flimsy hunter’s clothes, it can give you a real chill.
Also, if you dare, there’s hardly a more exciting place to jump down with Aloy and set sail in the speeder. As one person also writes under the video, you can also earn the glider achievement if you don’t have it yet.
