While Bethesda and Xbox are announcing a major showcase event for June 2022, leaked information about Starfield is making the rounds on the internet. Apparently they come from a former employee. Journalist Jason Schreier is said to have already confirmed his identity. We summarize everything for you!
Friends of the cultivated art of role-playing, it will be exciting! Those responsible at Microsoft and Bethesda have just announced a showcase event for June 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. In the announcement is it[called:“The diverse program has a lot of surprises in store for every taste. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase revolves around all the creative and varied games that will soon be appearing in the Xbox cosmos – be it in Game Pass, on Xbox or for PC! “
What’s new about Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI?
Why is this a must-attend event for RPG fans in particular? Well, there’s a good chance we can count on that Starfield’s gameplay debut announced for this summer by Todd Howard, the head of Bethesda Game Studios, back in November last year. It’s also clear that the SciFi role-playing game should be released on November 11, 2022.
In addition, there could be an update to Elder Scrolls VI, even if the Release is still a long way off. There are also some hot RPG irons that are on fire at other Microsoft studios. We’re just saying Avowed and Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds 2 or the Fable reboot.
Ex-employee with Starfield leak
Even before the announcement of the showcase event, leaked information about Starfield was making the rounds. Apparently they come from a former Bethesda employee. Journalist Jason Schreier is said to have already confirmed the identity of those responsible for the leak (via kitguru). And what does the former Bethesda employee reveal with the resetera nick Hevy008? Well, this:
- Apparently he’s already been able to play Starfield, and he believes the RPG will have so much content that some of the features could still be scrapped to make the November release. In almost every case, Bethesda will want to stick to this special date (11/11/22). If necessary, things are cut out.
- In addition, the ex-employee confirmed that we should be able to fly through space manually.
- Bottom line, Starfield should already look good. There are playtests every Thursday. More and more features are being implemented. The ball feels good. Flying not so. Starfield is also making progress graphically, although it’s not Horizon Forbidden West.
- According to Hevy008, the biggest problem is not the amount of (still unfinished) content, but crystallizing out the fun and eliminating bugs in the final phase.
- The Starfield beta is scheduled to start this summer.
- Hevy008 apparently enjoyed working at Bethesda (“It was cool solid place to work, very secure.”). However, the engine of the game is “garbage”.
Hevy008 appeared to believe that by leaving Bethesda, he would no longer be bound by the Starfield NDA. When it became clear to him from the users in the Resetera forum that this was not the case, he deleted all his posts. But the Internet (and the quote function in the forum) does not forget, as is well known.
