EA Sports F1 22. Sounds weird right? After the Codemasters takeover by Electronic Arts, the new Formula 1 game has also arrived in the EA cosmos by name. We have the first information for you.
EA goes all in in the ad: “Lap into a new season where the revamped cars and overhauled rules redefine racing action. Also, put your skills to the test at the new Miami International Autodrome and indulge in the glitz and glamor of Formula 1 F1 Life.”
That’s a bit more conservative: the new virtual Formula 1 season starts on July 1st, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (either via Origin, Steam or Epic). Those who pre-order can do their first rounds as early as June 28th. The key features of the new game are:
- all-new handling model that recreates intense head-to-head racing
- new physics that take into account changed aerodynamic and tire rules
- Miami International Autodrome course featured in game for the first time
- new broadcast mode racing options (formation laps, safety car periods and pit stops in an immersive, cinematic style) aim to provide a more relaxed experience
- VR on PC via Oculus Rift or HTC Vive
- F1 life area with glamor guarantee: supercars, clothing, accessories
- My Team and Career Mode return
- Two player split screen mode on board
