Pokémon players from 40 countries and regions gathered in Frankfurt, Germany from April 22-24, 2022 for the first International Championships of the 2022 Championship season.
From April 22 to 24, Pokémon fans and players from around the world gathered in Germany, at Messe Frankfurt, for the Pokémon International Championships Europe 2022. Players competed in the Trading Card Game competitions. Pokémon, in video games Pokémon Sword and Pokemon Shieldin the first International Championships Pokemon GO in partnership with Niantic, and finally, in Pokken Tournament DX.
During three days of intense competition, Trainers from the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon video games battled it out to win the title of International Champion and secure a place in this year’s Pokémon World Championships, which will take place take place in London, England from August 18 to 21. The players of Pokemon GO and of Pokken Tournament DX also competed for a spot at the 2022 Pokémon World Championships.
This year’s champions received a special Pokémon trophy, a scholarship or cash reward, as well as numerous rewards worth thousands of dollars split between Pokémon Trading Card Game competitions , Pokemon video games, Pokemon GO and Pokken Tournament DX.
