Li Sanli, a computer expert and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, dies at the age of 87

IT House news on April 23, according to Guangming Daily, computer expert, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tsinghua University professor Li Sanli,Died in Beijing on April 23, 2022 due to ineffective medical treatment, at the age of 87.

According to the official website of Tsinghua University, Li Sanli, born in 1935, a native of Shanghai, was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1995. He graduated from the Radio Department of Tsinghua University in 1955, and obtained an associate doctorate degree from the Soviet Academy of Sciences in 1960. He used to be a professor of the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University, concurrently the dean of the School of Computer Science of Shanghai University, the chief scientist of the National Climbing Computing Project, the convener of the 2nd and 3rd Computer Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the chairman of IEEE China Branch, Europe Executive Director of EUROMICRO Association.

IT House learned that Li Sanli had served as the responsible work for the development of four generations of electronic tubes, transistors, integrated circuits and VLSI computers in my country;is an academic leader in computer architecture technology. He has academic achievements and contributions in microcomputer, local network, RISC and parallel processing and high-performance computing technology.
