A new study by StockApps analysts shows that Android’s market share has shrunk by 8% over the past five years, while iOS’s has grown by about 6%.
According to the research company, in 2018, with the highest share of Android, the OS occupied 77.32% of the market. As of January 2022, this share has dropped to 69.74%.
The Apple iOS platform added 6% between July 2018 and January 2022, increasing its share from 19.4% to 25.49%.
The remaining 1.58% that Google lost is to other smaller OSes like HarmonyOS.
