Available in the Chrome Web Store, extensions for Google’s Chrome browser can now come with two new badges titled Featured and Established Publisher.
The badge Featured (or Featured) is assigned to extensions that follow the recommended technical practices for Chrome extensions. They also meet user experience and design standards.
To this end, members of the Chrome team are responsible for manually evaluating each extension. In particular, they check whether an extension uses the latest APIs and respects the privacy of users.
Featured and with certification
The badge Established Publisher is the guarantee that the identity of the publisher has been verified with adequacy with respect to the website indicated. It also benefits from good compliance with the Developer Program rules, with no instances of non-compliance.
