Collei from the Gensin Impact manga has been haunting the online Genshin community for some time. So far she has not appeared in the game, but now there are new reports about the character, who seems to have almost as mysterious powers as the two main traveling characters.
Will Collei be playable in Genshin Impact?
About Collei is already in Genshin circles long speculated – the green-haired girl with bright purple eyes has already appeared in the Genshin Impact manga, so some are just waiting for her to end up in the game. A new leak from the well-known Genshin insider SaveYourPrimos on Twitter allows new assumptions as to how the greenhead will play.
For one, the leak claims that Collei’s “kit” is already complete and ready for launch, so it might not be too long. What is particularly interesting, however, is that according to the game data, she does not appear to have a divine eye.
In Genshin, these artifacts are the source of elemental energy, and the two main characters are the only ones so far who can cast magic without such a device. In the game data, Collei only mentions an “Elemental Burst Gadget”, but no divine eye is mentioned. The reason for this could be a plot line that is already mentioned in the manga: Collei is possibly the product of experiments that these powers could have produced in her.
It is still unclear which elements you can use with her in the game, as there are no instructions. Another character who is currently believed to not otherwise have a divine eye is the mysterious quest giver Deinsleif.
Leaks for Update 3.0 and the Empire of Sumeru
It is currently believed that Collei could come into play with a new area after the current Inazuma ark, with Update 3.0 in the summer and the introduction of the new Sumeru Empire. This goes out, for example Inside sources of beta leakers UBatcha1 and has not yet been officially confirmed.
These leaks should also be treated with caution, because like UBatcha1 itself ironically in the Twitter bio notesnot all theories have been correct so far – 2.6 didn’t bring back Kazuha or Yoimiya, for example – that the new area could fall on a round update number like 3.0 is not unlikely.
The biggest feature of the upcoming new region is the arrival of the new element Dendro. Of course, this brings another Archon with Kusanali, whose arrival is currently estimated for Update 3.1 (Zhongli and Raiden Shogun also came in the second update of a fresh Ark). In addition, Dendro may bring more variety to the battlefield again. Key word: new elementary reactions.
Although there are still a few months until the new area and element, a little variety and new wind in the fight does not harm Genshin Impact at all. Genshin’s action-combat system is little about tactics – except perhaps in character build – but often more a matter of speed and responsiveness.
Therefore, I think the fights can become monotonous and button-mash-heavy in the long run. A new element and new combination options could spice things up a bit. Unfortunately, I’m already waiting impatiently for new areas – exploring the open world in particular is one of the highlights for me in Genshin, which I’m longingly waiting for with the new big empire.
