First released on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in December 2020, Call of the Sea arrived a few months later on PlayStation consoles. It was May 11, 2021 and the welcome was the same, namely quite warm but aware of the limits of this indie title which sees big. So much so that we learn today that the title developed by Out of the Blue Games (yes, it’s a studio name) will benefit from a physical release next month. We even learn that in France, it is thanks to Microids Distribution France and Meridiem Games that Call of the Sea will benefit from 2 collector’s editions, the “Journey Edition” and the “Norah’s Diary”, unfortunately only available on PS5 and PS5. The collector’s version Call of the Sea: Journey Edition will be the more premium of the two, since numbered and limited to 1,000 copies in Europe. Only available on PS5, this very limited edition was designed and manufactured by Meridiem Games. Inside, we find a special box, a concept artbook, two photographs, a travel ticket, a poster, the soundtrack (composed by Eduardo De la Iglesia) in vinyl format, a hardcover artbook (130 pages ), three lithographs, all presented in a special box bearing the name of the game Call of the Sea.
As for the Call of the Sea: Norah’s Diary Edition version (available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5), it will offer a special box, a concept artbook where you can see how the design and artistic direction of the game evolved, two photographs, a travel ticket and a poster. Both editions will be released on May 19.
